Waconda Lake & Glen Elder State Park - The county's most popular spring and summer time draw attracts not only locals but visitors from across the region and country for camping, boating, and fishing. In the fall and winter months, the lake and surrounding countryside is a mecca for hunters seeking a variety of wild game.

Parks & Playgrounds - County-wide, all communities offer parks with year-round access to playgrounds and picnic facilities.
​Swimming & Golf - Mitchel County offers swimming pool fun in Beloit and Glen Elder. Three well-kept golf courses are located in Beloit, Cawker City and Tipton. And of course, the Lake and GE State Park provide swimming opportunity from all shores.  Swim safe!
